Best Little Guest House is a unique Bed and Breakfast situated in South Africa's picturesque and historic town of Oudtshoorn, Klein Karoo.

At Best Little Guest House, the rooms are basic but cosy. No wild dÃ©cor, lavish entrances or instragram-able moments, but it does the trick if you have been on the road all day and you're looking for a comfortable place to rest your head. With the necessities you would expect of a modern-day guesthouse: good shower, comfortable bed, climate control, TV and wi-fi. You also get the perks of a garden, a braai (barbeque) and a swimming pool right outside your room.

In the morning you can have an optional breakfast in-house or go across the road and visit the Smitswinkel Country Kitchen (considering Oudtshoorn is small you might as well see and try everything).

Laze your days away or head out to discover what the little Karoo has to offer you. You are only 9km from the nearest ostrich farm, the Cango Caves (a must) is 32km away and the Swartberg Nature Reserve a mere 42km. If you have more time, just ask Edy and Rina, your hosts, for some suggestions.

On your way back from the Cango Caves, remember to ask the locals where the hidden waterfall is. While it might be a bit of a walk (10 minutes realistically), you wonâ€™t be disappointed.

As you might have gathered, Best Little Guesthouse likes to keep it simple and easy for you to stay put or head off to learn about the history. Itâ€™s probably the most hassle-free stop on your road trip so donâ€™t overlook it too quickly, it might just be your favourite part.
