Itinerary Accommodations

Hemingways - Nairobi Day 1

This 45-suite boutique hotel elevates the standard of luxury for travellers in the region. Beautiful in its symmetry and flooded with natural light, this plantation-style property is airy and spacious. Each of our 80m² suites have a private balcony overlooking the iconic silhouette of the Ngong Hills, a magical view which can also be enjoyed over sundowners at the Bar.

Our service is personal and sincere, offering a luxury experience from the moment you touchdown in Kenya.

Your dedicated butler will know that you prefer Earl Grey to Assam with your scones, and will remember which trousers you like pressed flat and which ones need a central crease.

So while you are indulging in the spa, relaxing beside the pool or meandering through the gardens, back in your suite, your butler will have dimmed the lights, adjusted your personalized pillows, set out your nightcap and arranged the morning’s outing down to the finest detail.

These spacious rooms are 80m² and are located on the ground floor of each wing. Each room features a seating area and private terrace. Large en-suite bathrooms feature walk-in closets, double vanity units and separate bath, shower and WC.

High on a hilltop near the equator, Nairobi and its surroundings enjoy a temperate climate most of the year. At an altitude of 1700m or 5500ft. humidity is very low and nights are cool.

The summer months are sunny and hot but not unbearably sweltering whilst the winters are mild but never shivering cold. There are two monsoons and rainfall is moderate; the wettest months of the year are April and May, when days are typically cloudy with downpours. There are four seasons but these are not always distinct with the rains sometimes early and often late.

Loldia House Day 2

Loldia House is an original Kenyan home set on an old farm on the shores of Lake Naivasha. Here guests can enjoy a gentle pace of life; relax by the pool, take in the views, head off on a game drive or indulge in a variety of treatments from our poolside spa room.

Loldia House offers a choice of accommodation either in the old family house or in cottages in the grounds. In the main house, there is one en-suite double room. Close by are three other guest cottages (each housing two separate rooms, all en-suite), surrounded by pretty gardens and offering incredible views across the lake to the extinct volcano, Mount Longonot. Up on the hill is the specially built Top Cottage, which has three double bedrooms and its own sitting room with an open log fire, making it ideal for families or close friends travelling together. The vista from up here is stupendous!

andBeyond Kichwa Tembo Tented Camp Day 3 - 4

Located where the riverine forest meets the sweeping plains in the path of the awe-inspiring Great Migration, the camp provides an authentic dose of African wildlife, delivered with legendary Kenyan hospitality. Enhancing its signature elements of romance and nostalgia, the camp has been redesigned to better showcase its panoramic Masai Mara views. With timeless interiors that are simple yet contemporary and stylish, the new Kichwa Tembo enhances guests’ sense of privacy and enjoyment.

Sayari Camp Day 5 - 6

Sayari has been carefully designed to include two mess areas, so you can always find a tranquil, intimate spot and benefit from considerate, personal service. Each has a peaceful lounge and romantic indoor and outdoor dining areas. Framed by natural rock formations, the rim-flow swimming pool has impressive Serengeti views – it is the perfect spot to spend a lazy afternoon gazing out over the game-filled plains.

In the evenings, retire to the warmth of the fireplace or the quiet library with a whiskey and share safari tales late into the night. After relaxing in such superb comfort in the world’s premier wildlife reserve, you’ll be rested and ready for all the adventures the next day will bring.

Dunia Camp Day 7

Out of all the Serengeti Lodges and Camp, Dunia Camp is the only one run by a team of only women. Dunia is a tranquil semi-permanent camp with just eight spacious tented suites, each with expansive views of the pristine wilderness and game-filled plains from a large private veranda. Attention to every detail is balanced by a graceful simplicity in harmony with the serene location. Enjoy an exclusive Serengeti safari with superb sightings of resident game and migration viewing twice a year, and round it all off with a sunrise hot-air balloon flight.

Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp Day 8

Sanctuary Ngorongoro Crater Camp is located in the Ngorongoro Conservation Area - situated in the Ngorongoro Crater rim valley, close to the access road into the crater, giving guests unrivaled access to the crater floor.

Ngorongoro is home to a large assortment of animals including zebra, buffalo, warthog, wildebeest, hippo and elephants; and an amazing population of predators - lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the elusive leopard.

Chem Chem Lodge Day 9 - 10

On the eastern edge of Lake Manyara lies a place of unending loveliness. Here is Chem Chem Lodge, ‘the sunset camp’, luxurious without being lavish. You arrive and immediately feel an affinity with the space, the silence, the serenity. You feel the echoes of a vintage safari lodge as urban stresses melt away.

Nowhere does The Lodge impose, but rather blends in with the unfenced wilderness that stretches on all sides. This exclusive retreat rests on the far western border of a exclusive wildlife concession which forms part of the Burunge Wildlife Management Area that runs between Lake Manyara and wildlife-rich Tarangire National Park.

Olivers Camp, Tarangire Day 11

Oliver’s was inspired by the trailblazing camps that pioneered the early days of safari. It gives you direct access to the dense concentration of wildlife you will find year-round in this remote region, as well as the chance to enjoy walking safaris and fly camping. Oliver’s is intimate and personal, staffed by a world-class team that has worked together for many years to perfect a safari experience that guests consistently rank among their best.

Legendary Lodge Arusha Day 12

The spirit of Legendary Lodge
Set in lush tropical gardens on a working coffee farm just outside Arusha, the Legendary Lodge features twelve beautiful garden cottages, two of which are 2 bedroom family cottages, each with its own private veranda. Designed with a unique blend of African arts and crafts, combined with old, colonial-style luxury, the cottages offer king sized beds, a separate lounge with fireplace and ensuite bathrooms with deep tubs and refreshing showers. The two-bedroom Kahawa cottage is ideal for families, while two cosy ensuite rooms are available in The Old Farmhouse for those who prefer to be closer to the dining room and guest lounge.

Mouth watering gourmet meals are served in the gracious Old Farmhouse, while the Legendary Therapies Spa offers rejuvenating treatments in the elegant therapy room or in the privacy of the guest cottages. A selection of fascinating coffee farm tours, shopping expeditions and interesting day tours are available at the lodge.

Africa Amini Life Lodge Day 13

A special place where you immediately will come to rest and reflect on the essentials. In the middle of the wilderness of the Maasai steppe are seven bungalows with hand crafted furniture with great view on the Kilimanjaro, Africa‘s highest mountain. Behind it and until the border of Kenya there is the savanna, home to the Maasai people. This is the right place to get to know them and their traditions and rituals, together with a slowing-down of your own lives’ pace. It‘s all about being together, traditions, stories and learning from each other.
