At Cape Diem Lodge – Boutique Hotel, nestled on the slopes of Signal Hill we offer guests a refreshing alternative to ordinary hotel accommodation. In 2007, current owner Daniel Balbach, fell in love with this beautiful Victorian gem, and the idea to convert and restore Huis Uitsig to her original prestige, came in the twinkling of an eye. The house had first undergone extensive restoration in 2007, and during the year-long renovation every care was taken to honour this Victorian lady’s long history and original features, adjoining old and new.
