An average of 10 million cubic metres of water annually floods 15,000 sq km of Kalahari, forming the world-famous Okavango Delta, largest inland delta in the world. The contrast of desert and wetland is what makes the Okavango unique, and fosters the bewildering variety of life that it supports.
