Birders and nature lovers can enjoy short treks starting from Sambiya River Lodge or Mubako Junction, both on the south bank, or a walk along the north bank from Paraa, passing the Emmy River. All walks last from one and a half to two hours and are done in the company of a park ranger guide.

Murchison Falls National Park vast landscapes and varied scenery of the surrounding Conservation Area can be explored on foot. There are several trails with in the protected area that tourists follow as they learn more about the park and its surroundings.
