Zanzibar Red Monkey Beach Lodge Completely restructured in autumn of 2010 (and again refurbished in May 2013), this cosy lodge is positioned right on the sandy beach next to a small tropical forest which is home of the Red Colobus monkeys, that give the name to the lodge and often visit us.

In front of Red Monkey Lodge there is a 2 kilometre long sandbank that reaches from the beach far out into the water, and about 2 km away from shore there is the barrier reef.



The Lodge consists of 9 one-storey bungalows (12 rooms) with traditional Makuti (palm tree) roofing , a seaview restaurant, our seaview bar, a reading lounge with book exchange, kite boarding centre and a beachfr...
